NOVA All-Stars is an Open competitive Cheerleading team freshly established on June 21, 2014. Housed under the Potong Pasir Community Club (PPCC) and the Youth Executive Committee (YEC), we are an interest group built on the strong passion and drive for the sport of Cheerleading.
Signifying "A new beginning and a lighted Star", NOVA is dedicated to nurture passionate and motivated individuals with a zest for the sport, to keep every cheerleader's love for the sport lighted. Growing together both in strength and mind, we aim to spread the spirit of Cheerleading widely in and out of the cheer community, like the glow of a magnificent Nova Star.
Origins - Denvers Cheerleading Team (2001 - 2013)
Denvers Cheerleading Team was established in 2001 and was the first Open team to be formed in Singapore.
The roots of some of Singapore’s most recognized faces within the cheer community can be traced back to Denvers. While some of them have moved on for a different challenge with other teams, we take pride in the fact that the strong foundation they developed during their time with Denvers has helped them to grow in their journey of Cheerleading.
Denvers was all about diversity, arguably the most racially diverse Cheerleading team in Singapore. People from all walks of life, including students, NSFs, working adults, and even Army officers were brought together by the draw of our passion for Cheerleading.
The journey together as the pioneer team in the Cheerleading community in Singapore has been a wonderful one full of colourful experiences.
Looking forward, Denvers wishes all cheerleaders a fantastic future with meaningful memories that will last a lifetime.
